As promised, here are the details on my first giveaway for my fabulous followers! This giveaway is for a $25 gift card for CSN that can be put towards any purchase from their 200+ stores! CSN Stores has over 200 online stores where you can find everything from modern office furniture to chic lighting to great items for your classroom!
For multiple chances to enter, you can post a separate entry for each of these:
1. Follow my site.
2. Tell what item(s) you would like to use the gift card for.
3. The job search for next year will be starting in a few short months. For entry #3, I would love to hear any tips/suggestions you have for landing my dream job!
This contest will end on Friday, February 4 at 9 pm. The winner will be chosen using a random number generator.
A good friend of mine teaches 2nd grade in North Carolina and asked me to make something for comparatives for her. I thought I would post it here too in case anyone else is able to use it. I have directions on the first page - please let me know if they are not clear enough!
Edit: Ok, so I just printed it and realized just how small the boxes are. I think I may do another version tomorrow and make the boxes a little larger.
Edit #2: I just talked to my friend and she said she likes them the size that they are, so for now I think I will leave them as is. If anyone would like them larger, let me know and I will fix them and repost.
Welcome to all of my new followers! I am so excited to have 21 people following my blog! Thank you for all of your kind words - I really appreciate them.
I don't know about all of you, but I usually have ideas for things I want to make when I am supposed to be doing something else - like cleaning the house! I have a bunch of ideas jotted in a notebook, but when I thought about making these fact and opinion penguins tonight I wanted to do them right away! Hope you can use them!
Teaching children and coming up with new activities and ideas are some of my favorite things! I have been so inspired by many of the teaching blogs that are out there now. My goal in creating this blog is to create and share ideas for all of the grades I am able to teach - preschool through 5th grade.
I have a B.A. in History (2005) and I graduated with my B.S. in Early Childhood Education (PreK-3) from Miami University in December 2009 and finished the Ohio 4th/5th Grade Generalist Endorsement through Ohio University in March 2011. I am very happy to be employed for this school year in the district I grew up in as a Title 1 Kindergarten Teacher. I live in southwestern Ohio with my wonderful (he says adorable!) husband.
